Hand-drawn Typography poster

The goal of this project was to illustrate a sentence or phrase through typography without using any pre-made fonts. The phrase I chose is a lyric from Katy Perry’s “Firework”: “You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine.” All letterforms were created by hand using the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator.
